ELIGIBILITY

This tournament is open to all players who will be 18 years old or younger as of January 1, 2027.

SECTIONS

U1300 - based on CFC Regular Rating

U1700 - based on CFC Regular Rating

FORMAT

Regular Swiss or Round Robin (depending on section size)

In Round 1, family members will not be paired against each other whenever possible.

TIME CONTROL

45 minutes per player with a 20-second increment per move.

Sunday, May 17, 2026

Round 3: 10:45 am

Round 4: 1:05 pm

Round 5: 3:25 pm

Awards ceremony immediately after the final round (~5:40 pm)

ENTRY FEES

• Early Bird Rate: $80 – Available until Sunday, May 10

• Regular Rate: $90 – Applies from May 11 until registration closes on May 15 at 8:00 p.m.

No on-site registration will be accepted.

TIEBREAK RULES

1) Direct encounter

2) Buchholz - 1 (The same as Buchholz (sum of opponents’ scores), but the lowest opponent’s score is left out)

3) Buchholz ((Sum of all opponents’ scores)

4) Sonneborn-Berger (Opponents’ scores: full points for wins, half points for draws.)

5) Number of  Games Won

CANCELLATION POLICY

$10 processing fee will be applied to any cancellations made on or before May 10.
No refunds will be issued for cancellations made after May 10.
