ELIGIBILITY

This tournament is open to all players who will be 18 years old or younger as of January 1, 2027.

SECTIONS

U1300 - based on CFC Quick Rating

U1700 - based on CFC Quick Rating

FORMAT

Regular Swiss or Round Robin (depending on section size)

In Round 1, family members will not be paired against each other whenever possible.

TIME CONTROL

25 minutes per player with a 5-second increment per move.

Round 1: 11:00 am

Round 2: 12:10 pm

Round 3: 1:20 pm

Free pizza lunch for players: 2:20 pm - 2:50 pm

Round 4: 2:50 pm

Round 5: 4:00 pm

Awards ceremony immediately after the final round (~5:00 pm)

ENTRY FEES

• Early Bird Rate: $40 – Available until Sunday, April 26

• Regular Rate: $50 – Applies from April 27 until registration closes on May 1 at 8:00 p.m.

No on-site registration will be accepted.

TIEBREAK RULES

1) Direct encounter

2) Buchholz - 1 (The same as Buchholz (sum of opponents’ scores), but the lowest opponent’s score is left out)

3) Buchholz ((Sum of all opponents’ scores)

4) Sonneborn-Berger (Opponents’ scores: full points for wins, half points for draws.)

5) Number of  Games Won

CANCELLATION POLICY

$10 processing fee will be applied to any cancellations made on or before April 26.
No refunds will be issued for cancellations made after April 26.
