ELIGIBILITY

This tournament is open to all players who will be 18 years old or younger as of January 1, 2027.

SECTIONS

U1300 - based on CFC Regular Rating

U1700 - based on CFC Regular Rating

FORMAT

Regular Swiss or Round Robin (depending on section size)

In Round 1, family members will not be paired against each other whenever possible.

TIME CONTROL

45 minutes per player with a 20-second increment per move.

Round 3: 10:45 am

Round 4: 1:05 pm

Round 5: 3:25 pm

Awards ceremony immediately after the final round (~5:40 pm)

ENTRY FEES

• Early Bird Rate: $70 – Available until Sunday, April 12

• Regular Rate: $80 – Applies from April 13 until registration closes on April 17 at 8:00 pm

No on-site registration will be accepted.

TIEBREAK RULES

1) Direct encounter

2) Buchholz - 1 (The same as Buchholz (sum of opponents’ scores), but the lowest opponent’s score is left out)

3) Buchholz ((Sum of all opponents’ scores)

4) Sonneborn-Berger (Opponents’ scores: full points for wins, half points for draws.)

5) Number of  Games Won

CANCELLATION POLICY

$10 processing fee will be applied to any cancellations made on or before April 12.
No refunds will be issued for cancellations made after April 12.
