ELIGIBILITY

This tournament is open to all players who will be 18 years old or younger as of January 1, 2027.

SECTIONS

U1300 - based on CFC Quick Rating    Registered Players

U1700 - based on CFC Quick Rating    Registered Players

FORMAT

Regular Swiss or Round Robin (depending on section size)

In Round 1, family members will not be paired against each other whenever possible.

TIME CONTROL

20 minutes per player with a 5-second increment per move.

Round 1: 11:00 a.m.

Round 2: 11:50 a.m.

Round 3: 12:40 a.m.

Round 4: 1:30 p.m.

Round 5: 2:20 p.m.

• Early Bird Rate: $40 – Available until Sunday, March 29

• Regular Rate: $50 – Applies from March 30 until registration closes on April 3 at 8:00 p.m.

No on-site registration will be accepted.

U1700:

1st place - $75 cash prize + ticket for 1 person to Twisted Escape Room

2nd place - $50 cash prize + two 30-minute Air Riderz jump passes (valid at all locations)

TIEBREAK RULES

1) Direct encounter

2) Buchholz - 1 (The same as Buchholz (sum of opponents’ scores), but the lowest opponent’s score is left out)

3) Buchholz ((Sum of all opponents’ scores)

4) Sonneborn-Berger (Opponents’ scores: full points for wins, half points for draws.)

5) Number of  Games Won

CANCELLATION POLICY

$10 processing fee will be applied to any cancellations made on or before March 29.
No refunds will be issued for cancellations made after March 29.
