This tournament is open to all players who will be 18 years old or younger as of January 1, 2026.

Regular Swiss or Round Robin (depending on section size)

In Round 1, family members will not be paired against each other whenever possible.

TIME CONTROL

60 minutes per player with a 30-second increment per move.

• Early Bird Rate: $80 – Available until Sunday, November 23

• Regular Rate: $90 – Applies from November 24 until registration closes on November 28 at 8:00 p.m.

No on-site registration will be accepted.

U1200:

1st place - trophy +  2 hour play pass at Amazing Fun Park (1 child + 1 adult)

2nd place - trophy+ two GlowZone 360 passes (choose between Laser Tag or Mini Golf)

3rd place - trophy

U1700:

1st place - trophy + $100  + F.G.Bradley Tournament Chess Set

2nd place -  trophy +  $75 + two GlowZone 360 passes (choose between Laser Tag or Mini Golf)

3rd place - trophy + $50

O1700 (minimum 6 players required):

• Prize pool: 50% of registration fees from participants in this section

• Distribution:

  • 1st place – 50% of prize pool

  • 2nd place – 30% of prize pool

  • 3rd place – 20% of prize pool

TIEBREAK RULES

1) Direct encounter

2) Buchholz - 1 (The same as Buchholz (sum of opponents’ scores), but the lowest opponent’s score is left out)

3) Buchholz ((Sum of all opponents’ scores)

4) Sonneborn-Berger (Opponents’ scores: full points for wins, half points for draws.)

5) Number of  Games Won

CANCELLATION POLICY

A $10 processing fee will be applied to any cancellations made on or before November 23.
No refunds will be issued for cancellations made after November 23.
